The Hole Ch.2 Part two

"i knew that." my dad mumbled. "That's weird." he said to himself. "what?" tegan asked. "My vampire detector says that there are vampires on top of us! or below us. or...among us. No, that can't be right. Must be broken." He fiddled with the knobs and dials on his little gadget type thingy. "Anyway... what was it you girls wanted?" he asked. "I need weapons. to kill a vampire.Well, actually more like seven. minimum." "Well," my dad lead me into another room filled with weapons,"The first thing you're gonna need is one of these." He handed me a long, smooth, woden stake. I lunged at the wall, accidentally poking the stake through the wall. My dad looked through the hole. He laughed. " That went right through to the other side!" "guess i don't know my own strength. he he..." "Anywho, the next thing you'll need  is crosses. Put a circle of them around somewhere you can keep your loved ones safe, a place you would like to be your...base camp, for instance, if you were training people for battle." My dad looked me right in the eyes, searching for some hidden meaning behing all of this."Excactly!" i exclaimed, because i had that sort of lightbulb-flashes-on-with-a-ding-above-my-head kind of idea. "that's it!" i whispered to tegan. "What is?" she asked. I shook my head. "I'll tell you later.Grab as many weapons as you can carry in this back pack." I handed her a very large backpack." Meet me at Gerrill park when you're done." I carefully hugged my dad goodbye. "bye dad! Thanks for the help. It means alot to me." "You're welcome. And if you don't mind me asking...what is this all for?" I hated this. I hated lying to everyone, and i hated everything about this.
But on the bright side, i wouldn't have to put a lot of effort into gym class.
"School project." i said. "Cool. What class?" "We're doing Media Arts this term for Art." i lied. "we're all making movies." "Awesome! I'll see you later, sweetie! I love you!"
"Love you." i said, and i wondered if that was true. So as i set off for Gerrill park, i wondered this:
