"Don't you mean brain washing?" she asked. "No. reading helps you learn better than staring at a computer screen ever will." Emily looked at me like i had five heads. "Who are you and what have you done with Cassie McIntyre?" "One of your twidark minions offered her as a sacrifice to the holy Rob Patterson." Emily frowned. "It's Twilight and Rob Pattinson." she corrected. "Whatever. Twilight's overrated." i shrugged. "How can someone as vampire obsessed as you hate Twilight?" she asked. "Easy. Vampires don't sparkle. They shrivel up like a prune in the sunlight. And you can't turn someone into a vampire with just one bite. There's a whole process of drinking a vampire's blood, dying, and feeding on human blood." i explained. "Should i be afraid?" i punched her arm. "Shut up, Em." we laughed. When i got home, my mom was baking cookies for my sister Nicole's bake sale at school. Nicole's eight, and she has five imaginary friends, Torie, Hallie, Lexie, Jennie, and Katie. Apparently they're her "dollies" that turn into people while everyone's sleeping, and while they're dolls no one can hear them talk but her. "Hello, girls! Would you like a cookie? i baked extras!" "Yes, please, Mrs. McIntyre." Emily took a cookie from the plate of cookies that were in my mom's hands. I took a cookie too. Passing by, Nicole said "Hallie says hi." she was holding one of her dolls. "Is Hallie the purple princess?" i asked. "No, Jennie's the purple princess. Hallie's the PINK princess." Nicole scowled and ran up to her room. "Come on, Cassie. We better get to the library before it closes." Emily dragged me out the door. "Bye, kids!" my mom said. "I'm thirteen!" i yelled back, but there was only a slight chance she heard me.
